  • Preparing copy by adhering to Mirion’s publication and typographic standards, gathering information, writing and editing text, and coordinating layout.
  • Excellent editing, proofreading and grammar skills, with attention to details for document completeness, coherence, format, and terminology.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather the correct information to produce accurate articles, press releases, and other marketing collateral.
  • Proofread and mark-up documents to verity that redlines were correctly implemented.
  • Self-motivated and proactive. Ability to work independently or with a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word.
  • Knowledge of how copy relates to design, graphics and typography.
  • Maintain records of work and revisions using department database.
  • Select photographs, drawings, diagrams and charts to illustrate documents.
  • Coordinate input from stakeholders: Product Managers, Engineering, Drafting, Marketing, Corporate, HR, etc.
  • Move copy from one medium to another, such as from printed copy to online copy, reworking the layout as required by the new medium.
  • Meet with Mirion personnel and review/read appropriate trade catalogs, journals, reports and other materials to become familiar with product technologies and applications.



  • Knowledge of technical writing.



  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Well organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently under deadline pressure and changing priorities.
  • Working knowledge of copy editing and proofreading techniques.
  • Able to abstract information relevant to the user from documents and discussions.
  • Ability to assimilate Mirion products, customer requirements, documentation design and structure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to sit at computer for an extended period of time.
  • Good storyteller.
  • Good interviewing techniques.



  • Research and review writing-industry trends and methods and review existing methods to determine long-range planning.
  • Able to understand and edit technical material.​



  • At least 2 years in a writing or editorial position.
  • BA or BS in Writing, Marketing, Communications, English, or related field or equivalent experience.
