Build and lead the IT organization.  Manage people, projects and budgets. Provide strategic vision and guidance on major IT initiatives to achieve business objectives. Collaborate with business stakeholders and corporate IT management.



  • Lead strategic IT initiatives and manage overall operations of the IT department
  • Work with senior leadership to help prioritize, plan and coordinate both short- and long-term systems strategy and implementation
  • Serve as a liaison between nontechnical business units and IT, communicating technology initiatives and plans
  • Identify resources and other requirements necessary to successfully implement IT projects, and provide strategic guidance and direction for effective project delivery
  • Manage issue escalation and resolution
  • Create a high-performance IT organization, responsible for hiring, promotion and review processes
  • Create and/or improve internal customer facing processes and systems for IT (e.g., help desk, disaster recovery/business continuity)
  • Transform the IT function to proactively seek and create business value through the leverage of enabling technologies
  • Identify and recommend new technological solutions to continuously improve business processes and efficiencies
  • Collaborate with corporate parent on infrastructure and support needs, and other corporate shared services roles and responsibilities
  • Actively participate in the corporate IT governance model, including standardizing policies and processes across the Mirion enterprise with other Mirion sites and entities
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization processes and standards
  • Safeguard assets by implementing disaster recovery back-up procedures and information security and control structures
  • Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action.




  • This position direct reports to the DMD Director of Operations in Meriden, Connecticut for local IT responsibilities.  In addition, this position will have technical oversite for DMD IT operations in four other North America sites, including Oak Ridge, Tennessee; Atlanta, Georgia; Horseheads, New York and Concord, Ontario, Canada.  The position will “dotted line” report into the CIO office for global IT initiatives, governance and planning.



Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of increasing responsibility in an IT leadership role, including IT operations, supervising technology teams, and overseeing information technology projects
  • Excellent understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and telecommunications systems.
  • Hands-on approach with excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams in multi-site organization.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing complex IT projects in the mid-market ($300M to $1B companies)
  • Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with Lean/Agile IT environments

  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
  • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Reporting, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence (BI)
  • Cloud technologies (Office 365)
  • Working in a distribution and manufacturing environment
  • Strategic planning and tactical implementation
