POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Lead proposal development and coordination for the delivery of customer and sales requested complex technical and commercial proposals
  • Primary contact for the Sales team and customers who request technical and commercial proposals for products and services.
  • Position responsibilities include: customer relations, planning, organization, on-going compliance matrix assessment, financial and schedule assessment, and risk management.
  • The ability to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team towards common goals is essential.
  • Provide appropriate communications and assessment summary to upper level management to ensure early/effective interventions remain ongoing.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Own several complex proposals and deliver to customer objectives.
  • Follow the divisional processes for all proposal development projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong technical and business skills.
  • Customer focused while maintaining a balanced view of costs/schedule/resources.
  • Strong sense of ownership and commitment.
  • Strong planning and organization skills with sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work with a wide range of team members and lead the proposal team to deliver on their tasks.
  • Clearly communicate project progress.
  • Hold team meetings, record action plans and task owners.
  • Work effectively and provide coordination within a team environment

 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

  • Support the Sales Director, Applied Systems Group and Project Management groups in meetings and various business tasks.
  • Complete required training/workshops to maintain a high level of knowledge and skills.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting and finance.
  • Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP/MRP systems is desired.
  • Good understanding of nuclear instrumentation market and applications would be a benefit.

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Skills with Lean, Value Stream Mapping, and/or 5S+1
  • Understanding of Physics, Design, Procurement, and Manufacturing processes and limitations.

 

AMOUNT OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 3 years of proposal writing/development, sales, marketing or project management experience.

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management with strong technical emphasis; or
  • Bachelor of Science in technical or Engineering/ Sciences with strong business emphasis or equivalent work experience.
