Job Description

Reporting directly to the Sales Manager, the Sales Engineer will be responsible for business activity development, primarily in the Netherlands and Flanders, Belgium.

Internally, you will interact with the International Sales Support group, the service team and manufacturing to develop sales in the Netherlands and Flanders. You will provide relevant feedback and information to the Product Management team for a better general understanding of the market. You will also work with the local Customer Care group as needed.

  • Sales process (from the first customer contact to the final contract agreement) for Mirion products: radiation detectors, measuring instruments, turnkey systems and related software products and services,
  • Creation of proposals and negotiation,
  • Survey and analysis within the relevant market segments to quickly identify market trends and customer’s needs,
  • Close follow-up and communication with existing and new customers to ensure their expectations are met.

Profile Description

Do you have the suitable qualities to be a Sales Engineer?

As a Sales Engineer, you are responsive and have enthusiasm for the field of technology.

  • You have a Master or Bachelor Degree in Physics, Science, Nuclear Engineering or equivalent,
  • Experience with selling and building relations in a technology environment,
  • Fluency in Dutch and English is a requirement, French being an asset but not mandatory,
  • Experience in nuclear measurement would be an asset,
  • Knowledge of the nuclear market would be an asset,
  • You are customer-driven oriented: a clear communicator who quickly analyses the customers’ need,
  • Good organizational skills and autonomous,
  • Flexible: eager to learn and easy to adapt in a rapidly changing business environment,
  • Solution orientated: seek and find information to address the customers’ need,
  • Pragmatic: striving for the best solution to process a deal quickly,
  • POC: being the accredited point of contact to diplomatically represent Mirion in your dedicated customer region.
