Mirion Medical GmbH in Munich – part of the global Mirion Group – has been a leading provider in the field of radiation protection and personal dosimetry for over 70 years. As an officially accredited dosimetry service, we monitor more than 170,000 radiation-exposed individuals across Germany and Europe.Our BeOSL technology, along with our dosimeters and reader systems, are in-house developments and are marketed globally under the Dosimetrics brand. With Instadose, we are introducing a new generation of digital dosimeters based on DIS technology, enabling fully digital personal dosimetry.Currently, we are developing new IT solutions and hardware for passive dosimetry, as well as dosimeters for extremities, specifically designed for radiology and nuclear medicine. In addition, we are actively preparing for the European market launch of Instadose.

To strengthen our development team, we are currently looking for a

Development Engineer for Dosimetry Measurement Systems (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities

  • Take on a senior role in product development, including project management, requirements definition, and tracking
  • Design, build, and evaluate prototypes, including data analysis
  • Develop and optimize algorithms for measurement, quality assurance, and data acquisition in dosimetry systems
  • Implement algorithms in both software and firmware
  • Further develop electronic and mechanical components of our technologies
  • Contribute to the advancement of Instadose and BeOSL technologies for new applications – such as neutron detection or new measurement quantities in radiation protection

Your Profile

  • University degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a comparable field
  • At least 3 years of experience in development projects (industry or academia)
  • Expertise in one of the following areas and a solid understanding of the others:
    • Algorithm development (e.g., using Python)
    • Control and embedded software
    • Radiation detectors (active/passive)
    • Hardware and/or electronics development for measurement systems

Additional Advantages

  • Programming skills in C++, Java, or C#
  • Experience with firmware, PLC systems, or automation technology
  • Knowledge in radiation protection, dosimetry, or radiation physics
