Description

iPIX instrument is a unique gamma imager that quickly locates and identifies low level radioactive sources from a distance while estimating the dose rate at the measurement point in real time.

It is the ideal tool to map a radioactive area before entering the zone, thus reducing the dose exposure (ALARA) during standard operation or decommissioning.

iPIX imager is also the appropriate instrument to detect any suspicious radioactivity in security and safeguard applications, as well as for emergency situations such as Fukushima.

Known Issues:

  • In acquisition mode – The iPIX Software randomly remains stuck during the optimization phase.
  • In acquisition mode – The mask rotation randomly stops for a few seconds during acquisition and then resume automatically. Very rarely, the mask rotation may not resume.

Compatibility:

  • This version is compatible with iPIX BSP version 1.12
  • This version is compatible with iPIX PIC version 103.301.
  • This version is compatible with Windows 7/10 + 64bits PC.

  • Added a color scale in the PDF report.
  • Added a continuous count functionality (infinite acquisition time) in manual mode.
  • Added a mouse cursor reading functionality for relative intensity (XX %) that corresponds to the color on superimposed image.
  • Added a watchdog to manage any errors during the optimization phase.
  • Performance improvements in processing algorithms.
  • Stability improvements in the connection between the iPIX and the iPIX Software.
  • Stability improvements in the connection between the iPIX and the iPIX-MOTORIZED TRIPOD.
  • Stability improvements in the connection between the iPIX and the iPIX-NID.
  • Empty measurements can now be saved in acquisition mode and are properly managed in reprocessing mode.
