Mirion Japan Supports Opening of Advanced Radiation Emergency Medical Center at Fukui University
On September 9, Fukui University inaugurated the new Advanced Radiation Emergency Medical Support Center with an opening ceremony that brought together leaders in healthcare, academia and industry. The facility will play a vital role in advancing preparedness and specialized care in the event of a radiation emergency. As a contributor to this important initiative, Mirion Japan was honored to participate in the event.
The Mirion Technologies Japan team delivered a complete set of advanced systems for internal and external whole body exposure analysis as well as precise thyroid measurement. The systems will support fast, accurate assessment of radiation exposure that will inform appropriate treatment for patients.

Mirion technology installed at the facility includes:
- Custom-designed bed type whole body counter with its shielded room
- Standard FASTSCAN whole body counter
- Standard ARGOS contamination monitor
- Thyroid monitor
- HPGe sample measuring system
