Workshop Content:

The workshop begins with a brief introduction to Mirion Technologies.

The workshop will be led by Marc Guerin (an expert from Mirion’s Defense & Security product lines), supported by Mirion’s local team. Please note that the primary language of the workshop is English.

This is followed by a scenario-based operational demonstration illustrating how our solutions form a comprehensive operational situational picture.

Morning Session – From Detection to Operational Understanding:

• Identification of a suspected radioactive source or contaminated area during an operational mission using a response vehicle equipped with the SPIR-Ident Mobile solution for rapid situational and area assessment.
• Simulated measurement of the impact area using the SPIR-Explorer solution. The demonstration shows how large areas can be mapped rapidly and reliable information produced to support operational decision-making.
• Field reconnaissance and targeted on-site analysis using the SPIR-Pack backpack system.
• On-scene isotope identification with the handheld SPIR-Ace RIID detector to support rapid and reliable operational assessment.
• Enhancing responder safety through continuous radiation monitoring using the AccuRad PRD and RDS-32 personal radiation detectors.
• Real-time data integration and visualization with the SpirVIEW Mobile solution, providing incident commanders and field personnel with a clear situational picture throughout the operation.

Participants will also have the opportunity to explore a complementary equipment portfolio, including the DMC 3000 and RDS-32 with new sensor options. Together, these solutions form a comprehensive ecosystem designed for radiation detection, responder protection, and dose monitoring and dosimetry management for the needs of emergency and preparedness organizations.

This structured approach illustrates how individual measurements collected in the field are connected and transformed into a clear overall picture that supports operational action, enabling safer and faster decision-making.

This approach helps participants understand how our solutions form a global, networked ecosystem in which individual measurements are integrated into a unified, comprehensive operational situational picture.

Afternoon Session – Hands-On Operational Training

• In the afternoon session, participants will get hands-on experience with the equipment through practical exercises and live demonstrations.
• Interactive discussions address real-world challenges in rescue operations and provide an open forum where we value and actively listen to operational feedback and field experiences.
