Neutron flux monitoring in the pulse and intermediate range in combination with pulse detectors.

Tag Features

  • Signal filtering with adaptive time constant
  • Calibration to neutron flux signal (nv, P/Pn)
  • Calculation of the flux change rate (reciprocal of the reactor period)
  • Generation of analog and binary signals for the reactor protection system
  • Linear and/or logarithmic analog outputs
  • Remote test signal generators
  • Optional: calculation of the reactor reactivity

Description

The DAK 250 digital start-up range channel forms part of the proTK™ product line. It has been designed for neutron flux monitoring in the pulse and intermediate range in combination with pulse detectors, e.g. BF3-counters and neutron ionization chambers. Hardware and software of the DAK 250 channel are designed and qualified for applications at the level of the reactor protection system.

This start-up channel consists of either the DAK 250i for pulse range (BF3, B10-counters or fission chambers) or the DAK 250g for the intermediate range (ionization chambers) which has linear or logarithmic output signals and a reactor period signal with an optional module for reactivity calculation. The DAK 250 channel is also used for steam generator leak monitoring (N16).
