Mirion Connect 2026: Advancing Radiation Safety, Empowering Progress

Each year, the Mirion Technologies group brings together customers, industry experts and partners for Mirion Connect, our annual users’ conference. Our 2026 event, our 40th to date, was centered around the theme “Advancing Radiation Safety. Empowering Progress.” We were pleased to welcome a record number of attendees to Henderson, Nevada for a week of learning, connection and discovery.

Professionals representing operating nuclear power plants, new nuclear, research, academia, radiopharmaceuticals, nuclear medicine, homeland security and defense came together to exchange ideas, deepen their technical knowledge, and explore the technologies supporting their work today. Just as valuable were the conversations that happened between sessions, where attendees gained perspective from colleagues working in different fields but often solving similar challenges.

Expert-Led Training

Training remains the foundation of the Mirion Connect experience. Monday and Tuesday were dedicated to one- and two-day courses covering product fundamentals, advanced applications, software, and radiation safety topics. Led by Mirion technical experts with professional training qualifications, these sessions gave attendees the opportunity to strengthen their knowledge through hands-on learning while earning continuing education credits.

Welcome Reception

Tuesday evening marked the official opening of the Technology Hub during our Vegas-themed Welcome Reception. Attendees explored the latest Mirion technology, met directly with product experts, and reconnected with colleagues from across their industry.

From showgirls and balancing acts to a contortionist and an Elvis impersonator, the evening’s entertainment added plenty of Las Vegas flair. More importantly, the reception set the tone for the week ahead as customers, partners and Mirion experts gathered to exchange ideas and begin conversations that continued throughout the conference.

General Session

During the general session, attendees came together to hear from Mirion leadership and our keynote speaker about the latest developments at Mirion and across nuclear fields.

Mirion Chairman and CEO, Thomas Logan, opened the conference by sharing how Mirion is Meeting the Moment as demand grows across the various industries Mirion serves. He highlighted how the company is investing in innovation, artificial intelligence, and connected digital ecosystems to help customers improve safety, efficiency and operational performance. He also reflected on milestones from the past year, including the Crew Active Dosimeter supporting NASA’s Artemis II mission and the additions of Certrec and Paragon, which have expanded Mirion’s capabilities in serving the nuclear power industry.

President of the Mirion’s Technologies group, Loïc Eloy, built on that message by examining the market forces driving demand across nuclear energy, radiopharmaceuticals, research and national security. He highlighted the operational challenges customers face as these industries continue to evolve and how Mirion is helping address them through integrated technologies, AI-enabled capabilities, and solutions that support customers throughout the lifecycle of their operations.

We were honored to welcome Maria Korsnick, President and CEO of the Nuclear Energy Institute, as this year’s keynote speaker. She shared her perspective on the momentum behind today’s nuclear industry and challenged attendees to think beyond innovation itself. As demand for nuclear energy continues to grow, she emphasized that the next challenge is scaling new technologies, strengthening the workforce, and working together to deliver on the industry’s potential.

AI Panel Discussion

The morning concluded with an AI panel moderated by Mirion’s Chief AI and Digital Officer, Shahmeer Mirza. Joining him were Dr. Syed Bahauddin Alam of the University of Illinois, Chris Lamb of Sandia National Laboratories, and Tighe Smith, Mirion’s Chief Nuclear Officer. Together, they explored AI’s role in the future of the nuclear industry, discussing practical applications already delivering value today, the technical and regulatory challenges ahead, and the importance

For many attendees, it was also the first opportunity to experience the breadth of the Mirion Nuclear Solutions portfolio in one place, with Mirion Technologies, Paragon and Certrec demonstrating how their offerings support safer, more efficient nuclear operations.

One of our 2026 featured experiences was an interactive radiation control walk-through, illustrating how Mirion Technologies products support personnel and radiation safety throughout a nuclear power facility.
