Types of Data and Collection Methods
Through the Site, we receive data that you actively submit as well as data that we track:
Actively Submitted Data: When you request information, respond to an online survey or otherwise actively send us data, we usually collect data such as your name, email address(es), mailing address(es), telephone number(s), and certain information related to the business you represent. In each such instance, you will know what data we collect through the Site, because you actively submit it.
Combinations: Unless you also actively submit personal information such as your name or address, passively tracked data does not typically allow us to identify you personally (even though it can theoretically be done, we do not have the means or an interest to find out who you are, unless you identify yourself voluntarily through an active submission of data). To the extent permitted by applicable law, we reserve the right to combine passively tracked data with personal data that you actively submit.
Collection Purposes, Use of Data
We collect passively tracked data primarily for purposes of administering, protecting and improving our Site and our systems, to better understand the preferences of our Site visitors, to identify server problems, to compile aggregated statistics about Site usage, and to help personalize your experience of our Site. We collect actively submitted data primarily for two purposes: firstly, for the purpose for which you originally sent us the data (e.g., to mail information to you); and secondly, for purposes of informing you about products and services; you can opt out of receiving marketing emails as explained below.
Where We Store and Process Data
We keep data in dedicated servers hosted by Rackspace® hosting, primarily in Texas, U.S.A., and also have servers, contractors and employees around in world in various locations, including, without limitation, other parts of the United States of America.
Disclosures of Personal Information
We are not in the business of selling or renting your information to telemarketers and do not share your personally identifiable information with others, except as follows: we freely share your information with our affiliates. We also share your information with agents and service providers who use the data only on our behalf and for our purposes under confidentiality agreements. We may share your information as required by law or in the interest of protecting or exercising our or others' legal rights, e.g., without limitation, in connection with requests from law enforcement officials and in connection with court proceedings. We may share or transfer your information in connection with a prospective or actual sale, merger, transfer or other reorganization of all or parts of our business. Also, we reserve the right to fully use and disclose any information collected via the Site that is not in personally identifiable form.
In connection with promotions or other projects, we may ask you specifically whether you have objections against a certain kind of data use or sharing. If you opt-out under such circumstances, we will respect your decision. To opt-out of receiving further commercial emails or to unsubscribe from services, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. You may also request to opt-out by calling us at: +1 (925) 543-0800, or send us your written request by mail to:

Mirion Technologies General EEA Safe Harbor Notice
Scope of Safe Harbor Certification
Mirion Technologies, Inc. and its wholly owned subsidiaries (collectively "Mirion" or "we") recognizes that the European Community has established a data protection regime pursuant to Directive 95/46/EC, which applies to the European Economic Area ("EEA") and restricts companies in the EEA in transferring personal data about individuals in the EEA to the United States, unless there is "adequate protection" for such personal data when it is received in the United States. To create such "adequate protection" and to overcome the restriction on international data transfers established by the Directive, Mirion adheres to the Safe Harbor Privacy Principles published by US Department of Commerce ("Safe Harbor Principles") with respect to personal data about individuals in the EEA that subsidiaries, customers, suppliers and other businesses in the EEA send to Mirion. Mirion's Safe Harbor Certification does not extend to data that Mirion receives directly through www.mirion.com or other websites (information on Mirion's practices regarding data received through websites is contained in the applicable website privacy statements, if any). More information on the Safe Harbor Principles and Mirion's scope of participation is available at http://www.export.gov/safeharbor/eu/eg_main_018475.asp.
Scope of this Notice
This Notice addresses data subjects (other than Mirion employees) residing in the EEA ("EEA Persons") whose data Mirion may receive from one of its subsidiaries, customers, suppliers or other businesses in the EEA, e.g., customers' procurement managers, suppliers' sales representatives, individual independent contractors, etc.
Categories of EEA Data
Mirion sells radiation detection equipment largely to businesses and other specialized industries, but rarely to individual consumers. Thus, Mirion receives mostly business-related information from the EEA. Occasionally, Mirion also receives contact information related to individual representatives of businesses with whom Mirion is dealing (including, without limitation, names, addresses, work phone numbers, work email addresses, etc.), and, in connection with our services, Mirion processes data that may be relating to EEA residents on behalf of, and in accordance with instructions from, customers (collectively "EEA Data"). Since EEA Data covered by this Notice is by definition sent to Mirion by another company in the EEA (e.g., a supplier to Mirion), the categories of data sent and the purposes of processing often depend on such other company, with whom the EEA Persons typically have a closer employment, business or other relationship (and which therefore, can provide additional information on categories of data shared with us).
Mirion collects and uses EEA Data for purposes of providing data backup products and services to its customers, communicating with corporate business partners about business matters, processing EEA Data on behalf of corporate customers, transmitting marketing emails and performing other marketing activities, and conducting related tasks for legitimate business purposes.
Mirion shares EEA Data with affiliates and contractors, which process EEA Data on behalf of Mirion. Mirion also shares EEA Data with other third parties for the purposes for which Mirion receives the EEA Data (e.g., performance of contractual obligations) and as required or permitted by law.
With respect to marketing emails, EEA Persons may opt-out of receiving further email marketing communications from Mirion by sending an email to email@example.com, or by following opt-out instructions that are contained in each marketing email. EEA Persons may also send an email to this address to ask to opt-out of disclosures to third parties, but such a limitation on data sharing may make it difficult or impossible for Mirion to provide the requested services. Notwithstanding other statements in this General EEA Safe Harbor Notice, Mirion may disclose EEA Data where it is legally required to disclose (e.g., under statutes, contracts or otherwise) or the disclosure is permitted by law and Mirion has a legitimate business interest in such disclosure.
Access and Review
EEA Persons whose EEA Data Mirion holds may request access to, and the opportunity to update, correct or delete some or all of the EEA Data that Mirion holds about them. To submit such requests or raise any other questions, please contact the Mirion Safe Harbor Contact as described below. Mirion reserves the right to take appropriate steps to authenticate an applicant's identity, charge an adequate fee before providing access and deny requests, except as required by the Safe Harbor Principles.
Safe Harbor Contact
If you have questions, please contact Mirion's Chief Compliance Officer at 3000 Executive Parkway, Suite 222, San Ramon, CA 94583, telephone: +1 (925) 543-0800, e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org, or fax: +1 (925) 543-0808. If you have a comment or concern that cannot be resolved with Mirion directly, you may contact the competent local data protection authority in your EEA Member State.
