Description

The HDR-Vue system provides real-time visualization of the true source position for High Dose Rate (HDR) Brachytherapy during setup and treatment. HDR-Vue system is intended to measure the Iridium-192 source position and overlay it on a visual image in real time. The position is displayed and recorded when used with a radionuclide applicator system (remote afterloader).

The HDR-Vue compliments and is redundant to other devices utilized during HDR Brachytherapy to ensure safety (such as the area monitor, CCTV cameras, survey meters). In addition HDR-Vue system provides hazard indication, when the source is outside the afterloader, which is complimentary to the area monitor.

The HDR-Vue Camera acquires video and gamma data and sends data to the console for processing. A laser alignment aid provides a reference for adjustment. The camera is mounted on an articulating boom that is wall or ceiling mounted. The articulating boom extends up to 187 cm (73.6 in.) in length, can be adjusted vertically 85 cm (33.5 in.), and allows the camera to be rotated or tilted.

The HDR-Vue Console presents a visualization in the ‘live’ display. The default screen shows a live feed associated with current case. The image is associated with a ‘Case’ and can be archived as a video and/or still image. These archives can be reviewed later on the Console.

The system is comprised of two main components – HDR-Vue Camera, and HDR-Vue Console. The console provides a live video screen for real-time visualization, and a case file viewer for replay and archive.
