Description
The CSP-POLE unit is designed to be used with the Radiagem personal survey meter and most of the CSP probes. Its compact size and easy to deploy mechanism make it an ideal tool for measurement of areas that are difficult to access like the top and bottom of vehicles, ceilings, walls and even floors. CSP-POLE units help cover many Homeland Security applications for interdiction – access control (location of a source after a portal monitor alarm), and intervention – remote contamination check of an event.
CSP-POLE instruments support ALARA principles by allowing the operator to obtain a reading and limits the contact exposure to the radiation field.
CSP-POLE units re-use the standard 1.5 meter (4.9 ft) cable that connects a CSP probe to a Radiagem meter secured though dedicated guiding rings.
The pole can be extended up to 1.4 m (4.6 ft) and accepts an additional 0.6 m (2 ft) extension to reach a total length of 2 m (6.5 ft). A shoulder strap is used to secure the CSP-POLE instrument when used with the extension and a wrist strap helps to carry and use the pole without it.
The CSP-POLE instrument takes minimum room when packed and is always ready to go with the Radiagem meter and the selected CSP probe.
