Neutron flux detectors for the source range

Designed to allow radioactive gas to flow through it during operation (e.g. tritium [a weak β emitter]). The counter is a welded assembly with a stainless steel chamber, centerwire and extension tubes, and employs high purity alumina ceramic insulators. The counter is rugged in construction and may be operated in any orientation at temperatures up to 300°F (150°C).

Designed to detect thermal neutrons in the flux range of 6 to 6 x 10⁵ neutrons/(cm²∙ second). The counter is extremely rugged and will operate in any orientation at temperatures up to 570°F (300°C).

Designed for in-core operation in either BWR's or PWR's. The chamber is constructed from stainless steel with high pur­ity alumina insulation and will operate in any position, at temperatures up to (400°C) 750°F.
