Designed to detect thermal neutrons in the flux range of 6 to 6 x 105 neutrons/(cm2∙ second). The counter is extremely rugged and will operate in any orientation at temperatures up to 570°F (300°C).

Description

The WL-23110 fission counter is designed to detect thermal neutrons in the flux range of 6 to 6 x 105 neutrons/(cm2 second). The counter is extremely rugged and will operate in any orientation at temperatures up to 570°F (300°C).

The counter is constructed of materials having good “neutron transparency” and low neutron activation properties. The thermal sensitivity of this counter is approximately 0.18 cps/nv throughout a wide range of applied voltages.
